Meet Zeus, formerly Loc and really whomever you want him to be name-wise! Right now he answers to love and is so unbelievably grateful for it. Thanks to a strong community of devoted volunteers in Georgia, this incredible dog was saved just in time from a big city shelter’s euthanasia list despite being one of their shelter staff’s favorite. He was their “dog behavior assessor”, meaning he’s the one who got along with EVERYBODY, dog and human alike.
Loc, his original name, means luck, but we are definitely the lucky ones. He leans into pets, sits on your feet and melts into the floor for belly rubs. He is a respectful, mellow and regal guy in the car. He takes treats gently. His play style has a light-hearted and kind boxer bounce to it. He picks up well on dog social cues and always defers when a playmate has strong feelings. He’s also very responsive to human cues and while new to home living, he’s picking up on how to live in luxury very quickly.
This boy could do well in any number of different household setups so you better hurry! Zeus is looking for his forever home and we’re not going to let the world hold him back from the perfect life he deserves any longer.
